What Inspired You to Start Luxx Escapes? 

Twenty years ago, Hans and Barbie excitedly imagined getting married by the beautiful beaches and captivating landscapes of the Bahamas. However, because of the lack of available resources and support at that time, the two faced numerous challenges as they tried making their dreams a reality. These factors caused them to have a local wedding. Although the two fondly remember their intimate ceremony, they still desired a magical celebration in a new country. A few years later, Barbie started her South Asian bridal makeup and hair services, called Cinderella Bridez. As she made her way in the wedding industry, she noticed that destination weddings were growing in popularity. 

As she realized this, Hans also wanted to start a new business venture in the travel industry. Together, they transitioned to a new section of the wedding industry: destination wedding travel management. 

How Do You Describe Luxx Escape’s Brand? 

Barbie describes Luxx Escape’s brand as focusing on providing luxurious venues and experiences. Their main goal is to elevate the wedding story by changing the narrative of where South Asian weddings are typically held today, mostly in Mexico and the Caribbean. They want to show their clients the history, culture, and elegance that European wedding venues have to offer. Their main priority for their clients is to find a great venue that provides quick follow-ups and easy accommodations for all of their guests. Because of the unique challenges that couples might face when planning destination weddings, Barbie says that their goal with Luxx Escapes is to ensure a calm, reassuring environment. 

What Does the Room Booking Process Look Like? 

Clients should expect to schedule an initial consultation call with Hans or Barbie to discuss their visions for their destination weddings, including their ideal aesthetics, location, temperature, guest count, budget, and cuisine. Either Barbie or Hans then provide a few options for some possible locations. Once a location is chosen, they will contact several venues that match their clients’ descriptions. Together, they serve as their clients’ one-point-of-contact for destination venues.They also manage room blocks once the venue is secured, as well as manage contracts with the hotel, facilitate room changes and upgrades, and supervise any additional modifications that may occur. Instead of having to call and manage numerous contacts from different venues, their clients can go directly to them for any venue or transportation questions or concerns, allowing them one less factor to worry about when planning for their big day.

Through their services, clients should expect an easier, faster, and simplified process of booking venues, blocking hotel rooms, and scheduling transportations.
